The input AC reactor is connected between the power supply and the frequency converter, which can limit the current impact caused by the sudden change of the grid voltage and the operation overvoltage. They effectively protect the inverter and can improve the power factor of the inverter and suppress harmonic currents in the inverter input grid; input AC reactors limit circuit feedback in the form of harmonics. They also reduce the AC current and its frequency due to the input rectifier in the converter DC connection capacitor.
